Nada Abuzaid started her fashion career when she was 16 years old. She designed embellished stage bikinis for fitness models which appeared on Euro Sport.

Nada studied Fashion at Kent Institute of Art and Design and when she was 18 she studied her BA HONS degree in Fashion with Business. Following her graduation Nada Abuzaid travelled to Dubai to work with top couture houses that specialise in swarovski crystal embellishment where bias cut gowns were plentiful. The clients were mostly middle eastern princesses who often wore colour palettes of flowers, emeralds and gold. They were graceful with etiquette which inspired Nada, who envisioned a story about a princess who wanted to be edgy and rebel by wearing black leather. Nada Abuzaid invented the Gleeve, a sleeve and a glove combined to express a woman who was still very elegant but wanted to show a small side of her toughness.

Nada Abuzaid art directed the photography of the Gleeve specifically using women who were of high class and sophistication like princesses to express the story and inspiration behind the Gleeve, avoiding the use of punk hair styles or tough looking models.

Venom Couture the brand name came from a similar vision of a princess being naughty in the most elegant way. A juxtaposition of elegant dresses, baroque style palaces and buildings with a dangerous name invoked feelings of electricity and intense desire to develop the ultimate femme fatale brand.
